User Objects in BO

I am trying to create a User Object within a report and nothing happens?? Any ideas what is wrong?

Within Query Panel I select the User Object icon and nothing happens.
Within Tools/Universes I select User Object button and nothing happens.

Check in Supervisor to see if you have permission to use User Objects.

Find the .udo file that corresponds to your universe. Delete it and let BO recreate it for you.

Just on a side note:

  • I usually would stay away from UDO’s since they are user specific (do not work for other users on other PC’s, do not work on BCA etc.).
  • Only reason I think a user should use UDO’s is to test something and then request for the universe designer to incorporate that UDO in the universe.

I have a followup question on the other issue I was having with using sum/group by instead of multi- dp’s “Grouping by different time periods within one report”. If you have time do you think you can look at it? I really appreciate your help.

I need to add 3 columns of percentages work/avail hours to the report.
