what this error means please? how to resolve?

Could anyone help how should I resolve this error:

[repo_proxy 13] SessionFacade::openSessionLogon with user info has failed(Transport error: Communication failure.(FWM 00001)
(hr=#0x80042a01)

I am trying to access the BO Server from client through Designer by giving :6400 with right username/password.

Spoke to my IT to open this port through the firewalls, they say they opened it but still I am unable to access through Designer. I could access infoview successfully.

Try to enter the system name in the Designer like for eg., cyz123.xx.com:6400 OR you might enter @BOB5

Tried this way too… But no luck.

Do you think it is the firewall issue or something else.

From the server I can login to designer successfully but not through the client.

what ports did you tell them to open? Look for other threads about Designer and Firewalls, there is a fair amount you need to do - if your system is not using specific ports, it changes every time your services restart, too.

Ask your admin to open the following ports:
