Unable to Open the INFOVIEW (Get Struck automatically).

Hi,

we are unable to generate / Create the Reports using Thin Client. 

We are using the Webi for generating the Documents, after selecting the Universe from Universe List, it is moving to WebInteligence Java Report Panel. after that it get struck (i.e Hanging) automatically.

This problem persist in both Developemnt and Live environments.

Could you please open the below document.

Hi Kandi,

It looks as though it is having problem downloading the Java component. Do you have restrictions on the machine.i.e Have tyiou tried it as a user with admin rights for the machine

It might be a good test to see if you can edit using the HTML editor, if not you probably have permissions issues on the server.

If it does work, then the java install is probably the problem - if you have another, higher version already installed, that is an issue. If you can’t run an install on your pc (local priveleges issue), that would stop this install, too.

You might try turning on full traces on the server (search these forums for that),see if if Webi is generating any meaningful errors.

Hi,

Even I had this problem with Webi 6.1.3 … We had java 1.4.5 version installed which created this problem…But later came to know that 6.1.3 version works only with Java 2v1.4.2_03 and I downloaded that Java version and webi works fine without hanging…

Just make sure which Java version is needed for Webi 6.5

The 1.4.2.03 version is the default… I’d look at permissions on your server, maybe it’s not able to fire up a session folder or access the install set (java).

With v6.5 we are using 1.4.2_07 and it works fine and no issue iwth this.

this is often due to cached universe files becoming locked/corrupted - on the server delete files called e.g. youruniverse.unv and .unw

if they are locked, it may be by a wiqt process & the server may need restarting
