Until now in my system Crystal Xcelsius is working fine. But yesterday onwards the following Error message is giving. “The Keycode you entered is not valid. Please try again.”
I searched in Net I got solution from the following Site.
I have the same problem on a Windows XP SP3. Though, the key works fine on another Windows 2003 Server.
I tried to reinstall, delete keycode registry key, log into windows with admin rights, give all possible authorizations to every single user and every possible authorizations to Xcelsius, thought it was all about SP3 but SP2 didn’t work neither … in fact, nothing worked.
Still haven’t found a solution. BO support didn’t manage to help.
It looks wierd, are you sure the key which you are entering is till valid? I had same issue and spoke to SAP they said this i tried and its working fine.
After installing the software, run Xcelsius once under the administrative user who installed the software. This user will be prompted to enter the keycode and has permissions to write the keycode to the registry. Non-administrators can read the registry key and run Xcelsius.
Fix 2:
Logon to the machine with administrator rights.
Run regedit and go to the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE> SOFTWARE > Business Objects > Suite 12.0
Right click on Suite 12.0 and choose Permissions.
Grant Full Control to the Users group for this key.
Was there any resolution to this? I am running Windows 7 and just downloaded xcelsius. Got myself a fresh key.
The install went fine (I am the only user AND I am admin) and I have yet to be able to run the program after following all the steps here and on the SAP site.
