BO Edge Trial Install Error: product key invalid STW00140

Hi,
I am trying to install BO Edge trial version 3.1. But it gives me error:
The product keycode you entered is not valid. STW00140
after i enter the product key and hit next.

Product key is the one I obtained from SAP after registering for the trial version. I am pretty sure that it is correct.

I had Xcelsius trial and BO Client installed on this computer earlier. I did uninstall both of them and also deleted all registry entries.

I also tried following this thread but that too didnt help me:

OS is Windows XP.

Please help me friends,

Hi,
I also tried installing on Win 2003 R2 Enterprise but I get the same error.
And I am sure I am entering the exact key which got in email from SAP.

Any suggestions…

What do you need help with? If the keycode entered doesn’t work then you have to contact SAP for a working one…

But replied saying that they dont provide support for trial version

What? They consider it a support issue? Just tell them the key isn’t working and that you want to evaluate the software without their “support”.

I tried registering again and it gave the same keycode, I was wondering if I anyone else has received the same keycode and tried the install with success.

I even tried installing on a clean Win2K3 machine, still got the same error.
So I am beginning to doubt if its the keycode or some other issue.

This is the keycode I have:
XXXXX-XXXXXXX-XXXXXXX-G5TJ

If you are trying to install on different machines, you are just wasting your time. Send them an email or better call them.

Hi Folks,
I had the same problem and it turned out, it is an issue with the current year.
On one machine I turned back the date to the last year, and suprise, the key is valid.

Hi,
I am still getting the following error:
BusinessObjects Edge Series 3.0 Setup The product keycode you entered is not valid. STU000140

I changed the current to previous year, but still getting the same error:

Any idea what could be the reason ??

Even I am having the same problem, I tired so many number of times from different computers. But nothing worked.

I am always getting STU000140. I tried calling SAP but no response.
