Posting Knowledge Base (KB) Articles on BOB

The official BusinessObjects tech support site has (at the time this post was written) this text on their login page:

What this means is that if you are the tech support contact for your company, you can use that site only for BusinessObjects related issues. You cannot disclose any information that you obtain from that site to anyone else - including members of your own company - that are not related in some way to your BusinessObjects installation.

That means here too. 8) You cannot obtain information from any of the private areas of the tech support site, specifically the Knowledge Base (KB), and share them here. The KB is a paid support area only… if you have a current maintenance contract you (or someone at your company) are authorized to use that site.

But since BOB is an open site, we can’t guarantee (nor do we plan to do so) that everyone on this site has the same access. For that reason, you cannot post complete KB articles here on BOB. You can post the resolution number, you may paraphrase the solution, but copying / pasting the entire resolution violates your support agreement.

For this reason, KB articles that are posted here will be removed. If you have any questions about this policy, please post them in this topic.
