Hi Experts,
I am very new with Business Object tool.
We recently converted few of UNV universes to UNX and now when I go through LIve Office insert wizard I can not see any of UNX universes.
I have couple of questions :
1] Is live office version XI4.0 SP5 patch 1 compatible with UNX universes from IDT tool?
2] Is there any workaround/Hack that can be used to make UNX work with Live Office 4.0?

I have this second hand, but Dallas Marks notes that an ASUG presentation indicated that 4.1 unx universes will not be LiveOffice compatible.

just found this out myself… so what is the point of Live Office now if it won’t work with the UNX’s Bus Obs insist you convert to?

This is just my opinion. Since for a number of users they were using Live Office for as data connection for Xcelsius (now Dashboards) and since SAP has added a data connection using UNX’s (and no other data sources are supported for mobile dashboards). I think that SAP is hoping that Live Office just goes away. It has a number of issues that I do not believe SAP wants to try to fix.
Just my two cents.

Be keen to get any knowledge anyone has about where Live Office is going from an SAP perspective.
Whilst it has its problems, I see nothing else that will enable me to integrate Webi content into a Word document (for example).

Great news, everyone! SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence 4.1 SP6 was released yesterday and (finally) includes support for UNX universes. I’m looking forward to checking it out. The “What’s New in SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.1 SP6” document describes several new features.
