Extracing Views from SAP ECC

Hi there,

Has anyone ever successfully used SAP Data Services to extract ABAP views from ECC?

For instance, I have a requirement to extract the V_T415M_K and V_T415M_P views. I can import these views as tables in the ECC data store but then I get the following error using RFC Streaming:

Error calling RFC function to get table data: <RFC_ABAP_EXCEPTION-(Exception_Key: TABLE_WITHOUT_DATA, SY-MSGTY: E, SY-MSGID:
AM, SY-MSGNO: 286, SY-MSGV1: ADRT)>.

In this case, I can get around this by pulling the actual table (T415M) but I would like to know if anyone ever managed to read ABAP Views using Data Services?

Especially as Werner indicated in the thread below that he has done this before?

Hi, Can BODI extract from ABAP Views? I’ve just tried to extract from an ABAP view within an R/3 dataflow, and receive the error message below… (12.1) 10-25-10 12:28:27 (E) (2976:1920) R3C-150607: |Dataflow DF_EDW_Ex_ZV_T777A Execute ABAP program <//SMGH-DB-15/workdir/ZBODI_ZV_T777A> error < ABAP SYNTAX ERROR “ZV_T777A” is not defined in the ABAP Dictionary as a table,>. I can import the view into my repository, and see the definition - although when I View Data I get an error of ‘Error…
