Depreciation scheme

Hi all,

Problem:
I want to make a report with a depreciation scheme. My client always used Excel for this purpose, but this has to be done in BO in the future.

What do I have?
The cost of an asset (eg €50,000), the assetlife (eg 60 months) and the purchase date (eg 30-06-2009).
I calcualted the % write-off, (20% in this example) and so the annual write-off for this year !!

How can I make a report which show per (coming) year the annual write-off untill 30-06-2014 ?

I’m feeling dumb after reading your post… Your Excel file is what you want to obtain or what you’ve already done ?? I you can give me more explanations (as the same level for the babies)… I’ll do my best to try to understand and help you…

Hi Kenny, don’t feel dumb, that’s more my situation right now :wink:
The Excel file is the situation I want to obtain in BO.
Biggest problem to me is to simulate all the coming years for each asset, since these records are not in the database and I have to create them myself.

For each asset the formula has to create a year and a depreciation amount, until the rest value = 0
So in the example, the period of depreciation is 5 years, starting 2009, the report has to show 2010, 2011 … , 2014.
