Hi,
using Business Objects 6.51 on windows server 2000 against Oracle 11g.
For some strange and unknown reason, our BCA Publisher Web Application service stopped working and is refusing to start up again.
The only change we can think of that may possibly be related is that our Exchange server (on other box) has been upgraded to latest version.
We have tried lots of different resolutions - most of them found on this very forum - but can’t get that service to start up again.
We don’t have multiple NIC cards so should not require the hotfix
We have recreated the bomain key file.
When we try to log in Recipient Manager, the OK button is greyed out and stays greyed out even after starting to enter the credentials.
I would think that this is related to the fact that the application sees that the BCA service is not running.
All other services are running properly.
We have followed a number of suggestions, including the ones found in Configuring Bo Publisher
For the life of me, I can’t figure out why that service is not running - what could be interfering with it?
I hope someone can offer some good suggestions!
