Automated volume / stress / load testing tool for WebI?

Hi guys

I am trying do a load test on my WebI server. Does anybody know a good automated test tool (with script recording facility) that works with WebI?

Load Runner is too expensive for my tastes…

Hi,

This is in connection with an old post of yours. You had mentioned that JMeter can be used for both performance and functional testing. But I couldn’t find a mention of Functional testing anywhere in JMeter home page. Could you help me with this ?

I’m also interested in people’s experiences using JMeter. Has anyone used JMeter with BOXI 3.x?

I haven’t used JMeter but thought it was a performance / stress testing tool. Can it also be used to compare data? I.e., reconcile actual results of running reports?
