I am having a problem exporting a universe to a production repository. I created a universe and exported it to a group on a development repository using a special userid set up for exporting. I then switched to the production BOMAIN.key and tried to export the universe to the production repository using the same userid but I received the message: “You are not authorized to use this universe.” The special export userid is set up as designer with export privileges in the group where I want to export. I have done this successfully in the past but can’t figure out why it won’t work now. Does anyone have any ideas?
The environment is: BO version 4.1

That has happened to me. I know you have done all of this but double check it anyway. First in supervisor make sure your id is ok and login as a user and a supervisor and try exporting it. Check your Tnsnames.ora file, Recopy your bomain.key again, exit BO and go back into it and it should work.
Logon to Designer in Development repository. Open your universe, choose File–>Save As menu option. Check “Save for All Users”, click OK.
This will strip off all the security information in the universe file. Then change ur BOMain.key logon to PROD environment, open the universe and export it.
Or else your Special Export user should be a General Supervisor. Having your Special Export user as General Supervisor is the best way to do.
