My client has ended up deleting some documents from the repository database directly, instead of from the supervisor interface. Now when he tries to open some of these documents which are already locally available using the “Retrieve documents from repository” option, he gets the message “You are not authorized to use this document”. Tried scan & repair of repository, but still the same message.
The link to users from the documents is now missing, so you will continue to get this unless one of two things happens…
The Documents are reexported and the object link is restored or… 2) A General Supervisor opens the report and either reexports it, or saves it for all users.
Saving the document for all users will remove the embedded DocumentID from the Document. Re-exporting the document will place it back into the repository where the id can be successfully ‘resolved’ when running a security check against it.
Thanks!

You need to either:
a) open the documents as a general supervisor and when you save check the “save for all users” option
b) re-export the report and re-apply the permissions in Supervisor Simon
