Our report which is Universe based is working fine on Development environment.

Now we want to move Universe as well as report which is based on that Universe to move to UAT environment.

We created BIAR file using Import-Export wizard.

This BIAR file is now imported on UAT environment using Import-Export wizard.

Now we want to open the imported Universe with Designer to change the database connections of Universe as per UAT database credentials by following the link File -> Parameters.

When we are trying to open the Universe using designer we are getting below error:

You are not authorized to use this document. (FRM 00008)
Details:The universe belongs to another CMS.You cannot open it unless you are connected to the same CMS from which it was imported.

Can anybody has any idea about possible solution for this error.

Hi,
I checked the URL mentinoed by you but solution given there won’t be useful for the error posted by me.
I checked rights of users as well as groups at development & UAT.Rights are same at both the environment.
Not able to understand how it is working fine on Development & giving error on UAT.

Maybe, you are facing some kind of corruption. You haven’t stated what version and SP you are on.

There is a simplier way to get back you universe:

Create a universe on your local machine as TEST.unv

go to options then insert.

Find the local copy of your universe that you having problems with.

This should then open up as a second universe connection showing all the tables and connections.

Then goto to File > parameters then in the links tab click your universe then click include then Ok.

Your Universe is restored from which you can save and export.
