Hi,
Please help me out from this issue. I had given an Universe from 6.5 version and my business wanted this older universe to be opened in Business Objects XIR 2.

ERROR you are not authorized to use this document.
FRM 00008

DETAILS : The universe belong to another CMS. you cannot open it unless you are connected to the same CMS from which it was imported.

Please help me out its very urgent. Thank you

If you have access to Import wizard then copy the universe from 6.x to XIr2 using the wizard.
Though you can do a “save for all users” for the universe in 6.x and open directly in XI Designer, but import wizard is the recommended and secured option.

Hi all members

[BO version, BOXIR2 SP2]

For last couples of month i was using BOXIR2 properly on my system.

I have created a universe named ‘BankDBXIR2’, i did reporting and dashboarding through this universe.

But now when i am opening the same universe then as a result following error message is shown.

[b]"You are not authorized to use this document (FRM 00008)
Details: The universe could not be found in the Central Management Server. Possible causes include:

  1. The universe may have been deleted from the CMS.
  2. You may not have access rights to view the universe
  3. The CMS may be unavailable."[/b]

whereas i haven’t done any changes for a security of this ‘Administrator’ account other than changing the password 3 days back. Previously password was blank.

I have just changed the password of Administrator account. After changing password its first time i am using a universe designer.

I remember very clearly a week before i successfully login to universe designer and created a hierarchy too.

In CMC i have confirmed that same universe is listed in ‘Universe’ section.

Can any member let me know, how to fix it.

Kindly any guru guide me here please.

Have you checked universe rights in CMC.
Tried to import another universe
All servers are running and enabled from enable/disable servers in CCM
