XML source dashboard not updating when file changed.

Hi there,

I have a dashboard based on an XML file which I link to through (http://Servername:Portno/Xmlfilename). I have placed the xml file within the Tomcat ROOT directory. My problem is that when I manually update the XML file the Infoview dashboard does not reflect the changes. I can also delete the file and Infoview still brings the old version of the dashboard back.

Is this because I have the XML file within Tomcat? Do I need to re-start tomcat every time I make a change to the XML?

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Quick question. Under the usage tab of the connection. How to you have it refreshing the data? I use an XML connection and I have it refreshing every few seconds.

Hi Kevlray,

Yes I have this option refreshing every 5 seconds.

When I have dashboard designer opened and I change the xml file the changes are not passed through, however when I close it and open it back up the changes are there.

Unfortunately I have no suggestions. I have never had that issue.
