XML Schema element order

Hi,

We’ve imported an XML definition into a DI XML schema, which works fine.

One particular customer has a requirement (the reasons for which are as yet unknown) to send their XML files with the elements within a complex type in a different order to that specified in the schema.

This is not a problem for generic XML compilers, such as XMLSpy. However it would seem that the generated DI Internal Schema is more fussy, and comes up with the error:

“XML-240108 An element named present in the XML data input does not exist in the XML format used to set up this XML source in”

Is there any way to avoid this, or do we need to impose a consistent element order for all source files.

Many Thanks
Simon

Shilpa,

I’m afraid this issue was a long time ago and my memory is sketchy. However I do not think there was a DI solution. I think the offending source file supplier was required to comply with the standard format.

Simon
