XI Installation Error - m22.cab file missing

Hi,

We received a copy of Business Objects XI from the vendor.

While trying to install it on a fresh Windows Server 2003 (Standard Edition) machine, the following error was received:

Error 1311. Source file not found: C:\ENTERPRISE_1\win32\m22.cab. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it

Note: I had copied the three CD’s to the local C: drive and was attempting to install the application on the local D: drive which has nothing else on it.

I checked the contents of the CD ‘ENTERPRISE_1’ and the file ‘m22.cab’ does not exist on the CD, hence it does not exist on my C: drive either.

Please let me know if you have any ideas on how to resolve this issue.

Many thanks, John.

The additional files exists in the second cd so copy all the .cab files from 2 nd and 3 rd cds to first cd and start the installation again

Excellent !

I thought that you could copy the CD’s straight to the hard drive as in Version 5, and didn’t know that you had to copy all the files to the single win32 directory if doing the same in XI.

Thanks very much for your help.
