[XI 3.1 SP7] Impact of address IP modification on BOE server

Hello,

I would like to know if modification IP address of a BOXI 3.1 server has an impact on BO engine ? Is it transparent or configuration modification is necessary ?
Hostname will be not modify, only IP address

Environment description:

  • 1 VM BO server (XI 3.1 SP7; OS: Windows Enterprise server 2012 R2 64bits)
  • FRS by default on BO server
  • 1 CMS db Oracle 11.2
  • WAS: Tomcat 7.0 (installed by default with BO package)

This should be fairly transparent. The IP address is not stored in any configuration unless you’ve set it up in for proxy reasons on the individual server processes in the Servers section of the CMC. Changing server names, on the other hand, will cause lots of issues.
