XI 3.1 Fix Pack 1.3 available

FYI, XI 3.1 FP1.3 was released today:

The info link seems doesn’t really tell what issues are corrected in this release.

Click on the ‘Info’ link next to the download and it will list the release notes, issues fixed and installation & deployment guide.

I only see FP 1.2 no FP1.3 for XI 3.1

it is found at the path indicated in the original post…it’s not where you would think to look.

Apparently they realized the empty documentation for client/server install as the link to open the document presents message “either document is no longer available or it is being modified.”

I’ve spent more than an hour trying to locate a document listing what’s been fixed in this patch. I cannot find anything for Windows x86 servers. Can anyone provide a link? I don’t feel like applying a 500Mb patch when I have no idea which areas it addresses!!

SAP Support website is amongst the worst I’ve ever tried to use, 2nd only to IBM (try finding Informix client drivers!).

Well I did find the link for fix pack 1.3 on the SAP support Website and got a file named boxi31win_fp13.exe.

I installed it and … it says it is French Language Pack °_°

???

HI there:
Perhaps I may be wrong, but it is my understanding that installing FP1.3 coming from XiR2 SPx will take the software to the same level as installing the full install of BOXiR3.1

If you had install XiR3.1, then you will gain nothing installing the FP1.3
If you had install XiR2 SP3 (by example) and want to know what is inside FP1.3, you can find it on the XiR3.1 docs.

–SMP->Support portal->Downloads->Business objects downloads

–On the left pane click on service packs, hot fixes and utilities

–On the right select

--BO enterprise

--XI 3.1

--Hot fix

Fix Pack 1.4 had some issues and was taken offline.

Yes,i have emailed BO Support about it and no answer. I have applied FP 1.3 and so for no issues.

Fix Pack 1.5 was tentatively scheduled for April 17th release but a tech manager last week informed that 1.4 is being retested and that has delayed 1.5 as well. Our migration further delayed due to a fix we are awaiting in 1.5

SP2 is scheduled to come out in August I believe. Personally, I’m quite reluctant to apply FPs, since they don’t go through a thorough test cycle and tend to break things that were not broken before applying the fix pack.

Hi All,

under AIX 5.3 FP1.3 for 3.1, have issued Adaptive Job Server and Multi Dimensional Analysys Service Server.
After restart, services are down and unable to get up…
Tricks with coping some files from previous ver. (found on BOB for FP1.2) seems not working.

The solution was simple: To have read the fix pac installation docu

Before you run FP installation you must stop all services except CMC, IFRS and OFRS. So the FP 1.3 is ok .
