[XI 3.1] Cmc performance - it's slow?

Hi to all,

i have a BOXI (3.1 FixPack 2.4) installation, and it seems to me a little slowly… i’m the only user at the moment, but when i click the buttons on the CMC left menu, i have always to wait from 6 to 12 sec(some times more) for the center frame to appear… i don’t know if it’s normal… it’s not totally unacceptable, but anyway it seems to me quite slow…
i’m simply browsing the CMC menu, without opening any reports

I separeted the static content from the dynamic content, and looking with httpwatch for each request, it’s always the second GET that take long to complete (90% of total time), the static content is loaded very fast:

My BO architecture(Solaris10) use one webserver Apache (2.2.14) and weblogic 9.2 with the webapps deployed, and a “BO server” where the bo xi installation runs

The problem i think is with the dynamic content… so or a webabbs problem (weblogic), or a client problem (browser, jdk)
tried with different browser with no significative changes…
cpu utilization it’s very low (<10%)

Any suggestion? or it’s normal a performance like this?

I have found 3.1 to be significantly slower than R2 even after applying performance enhacement suggestions from SAP.

I have a suspicion that virus scanning software is a big factor in this as a great deal of data gets written to temporary internet files but I suspect this is not the whole story. I have a call open with SAP at the moment but they have not suggested anything useful yet.

It’s a known issue in 3.X… CMC could be slow especially with multi servers. I mean BO on one server and the CMS database on another one …

Would you please tell us where could we get more information for this issue?

There are both DB and BO in our UAT site but we feel happy on the performance. Once we deploy it to Live that (1 server for BO and another 1 for DB), the Infoview works poor that user always need to wait for every simple task when editing query
