Hi,
I’m looking for a way to automatically, upon a specified schedule, create a (disconnected) swf file that contains data from a Web Service that is populated at the time of creating the swf file.
I’ve written a Web Service in .NET and I can populate the dashboard data fine when I’m previewing in Xcelsius, however when published it will try to connect to the Web Service every time the swf file is opened.
I’ve also found the Xcelsius batch utility that can automatically create a swf file based on a generic Xcelsius file, but it appears to only support .xls spreadsheets and not Web Services.
So the question is, can I automatically create .swf files based on a Xcelsius file and use the data from a Web Service as a data source and then distribute a disconnected .swf to the users.
