I have an Xcelsius Dashboard, which takes 6 mins. to refresh due to heavy data load.
I need to automate the generation of SWF.
Tried using the batch executable to generate SWF, but we need the latest excel for using this option.
I wanted to do this using Crystal reports, where in we can schedule the report (embed the Flash object here)
Not very clear as to how to go about this.
Xcelsius uses Live Office, and refresh is set to Latest instance of webI reports.
Please help.

You can import the flash file into Crystal, leave the connections as is, and schedule the report - you’ll have to have some sort of connection in the report, though, or it won’t display correctly.
Another option is to have Crystal pull the data for the dashboard, change the design in Xcelsius to use Flash Variables, import the .swf into Crystal, and then use the Xcelsius “helper” functions in Crystal (ToXMLColumn(), ToXMLRow(), ToXMLData()) to send the data into the Flash for display.
