Xcelcius/Live Office Using The Wrong Instance

Hello,

We have a Xcelsius dashboard which uses 10-15 Live Office instances to grab data from the last instances of 5 Webi reports.

The dashboard was developed in a Test environment and worked fine. It was then exported to a different environment (via the ‘Export to SAP BusinessObjects Platform’ option in Xcelsius) and although the dashboard deployed, it will only try to use instances from the original Dev environment, even though there are instances in the new one.

I can’t see any link to the old environment - I’ve checked the Session URL in the Data Connections box - it’s not referenced anywhere.

Has anyone ever come across this before, and fixed it? We’re using Xcelsius 2008 with Live Office 3.1 on Office 2003,

I figured it out myself.

Turns out that you have to go into Excel (outside of Xcelsius) and change log in properties there before they are picked up by Live Office.

The reference is probably within the Live Office connection. Export the spreadsheet, Open it in Excel and examine each Live Office connection to see where it is pulling the data (i.e. where Live Office sees the report).

My experience in the past with moving from a dev system to production is that I had to re-map the Live Office connections to reports on production in Excel.
