this is the response I received from a system administrator that is hosting the reports I’m putting on the web. Is there any basis to this, because I can’t seem to find any information on it.

That is the normal behavior when you allow cells to grow, i.e. if the text can’t fit the width of the cell, the cell will grow vertically and the text will wrap. Not sure what is the question here?

the problem is, I have a box that is about 3 inches wide, and the text will only go 2.5 inches, Leaving a .5 inch margin on the right-hand side. Which it shouldn’t do.

As far as I know, unlike WebI, there is no Auto Width property you can set in Crystal. ‘Can grow’ property only applies vertical height. If all of your data elements are not over 2.5 inches wide, then set the field width to 2.5 inches and that should do away with the white space on the right.
