In one of my report i am getting you do not have right to view sql - WIS 30256.
I am receiving this error when i am trying to change the value of one of the parameter. More specifically i am getting this error when i am selecting the value from hierarchy shown while selecting the value.
I am not getting this problem when i enable view sql from CMC but the real issue is that for other users we can not grant this permission.
Please let me know if there is any solution for this issue.
Your admnistrator will need to create different groups of users, and grant rights to the folder based on the groups. So in this case two groups, one group will have access to the SQL the other will not.
You don’t need view sql permission for refreshing the report.
But the error which you have specified occurs when you try to see the sql generated by the query.
I have the same issue…
I have granted “view SQL” right to my user, and when I refresh a report, I have an error “ERR_WIS_30256” telling me that I don’t have permission to visualize SQL
I have several reports in the same folder, and this appends only with one.
I’m not trying to visualize SQL request but only refresh the report…
I’m sorry, I have the same issue, and what you think about this: I granted permission to view SQL in WebI documents, but there is no result. Any ideas?
This may be a very basic question but have you tried using the Check User Rights button on the rights tab of the folder where the user is having the issue. I have experienced conflicting security settings and that would help you find out where the problem lies.
Thanx for reply.
I used this feature and convinced that I have this right, but I can’t to see a sql script in report. Even I set up ALL ACCESS rights to folder, I can’t see a sql script in report.
