Wingdings font in SAP BI 4?

HI,

To enable the Wingding font on our BI 4.0 SP02 server (on Windows 2008 R2), I have added the following lines in fontalias.xml (both files, in x32 and x64 directories). That was the way with XI 3.1…

Now the font appears in the menu, is okay in the browser on Internet Explorer and Chrome, is replaced by Arial in Firefox, and does not appear in a PDF export! (of course, the customer has Firefox).

We tried changing uppercase/lowercase, no luck.

Did someone manage to use Wingdings on BI 4?

I have added the wingdings font on both files, in x32 and x64 directories of the server and it ok when displaying in chrome or IE.
i have the same problem when exporting to PDF. blank cell !

Bonjour,
Avez-vous trouvé la solution ?
Je rencontre le même souci (police installée dans fontalias.xml. OK à l’écran mais KO lors de l’impression en PDF)
En XI3, il fallait modifié le fichier i18n.xml sauf qu’en BI4, ce fichier n’existe plus.
Si vous avez solutionné le problème, je suis interressé.

Tested with SP4 patch 3 : still no change. Wingdings is still empty in a PDF export.

By the way: many symbols from Wingdings are available with Unicode with other fonts. For exemple :

"=Car(9786) "

gives you the smiley.

You’ll find the hexadecimal codes on Wikipedia, you’ll have to convert to decimal.

My problem isn’t only webding because i want print PDF document with font EAN13
