Windows app servers and unix web servers

Hi

is it possible to deploy XI R2 or R3 on multiple platforms. For example some jobservers on windows and others on unix?

Realisticaly we are looking at windows for everything except the webservers which are WebSphere on unix. Is this possible?

Yes, that has been done many times. During the install of BO you can select to install just the ‘web tier’ which you need to install on the app-server machine.

Basically you can mix and match all other components over different platforms, except for the CMS - all of these need to run on the same platform.
