WIJ 20002 xml Parser Problem - Rich Client

Hi,

I have a problem with the rich client on a new installation:
Business Objects Enterprise XI 3.1 SP3 on Windows 2008 Standard.

If I connect with the rich client "import document"is disabled.

if I try to create a new document from the rich client it returns the error below (I used the rich client on two workstations):

WIJ 20002
Version: null
Analisi dello stack:
java.lang.RuntimeException: java.lang.RuntimeException: XML parser problem:
XMLJaxpParser.parse(): Element type “ABOUT_Patentnumbers” must be followed by either attribute specification, “>” or “/>”.

Have you any solution?

Check all your services are enabled and up and running.
Check you are using a supported version of Java.

Can you create documents in Infoview?
Are you doing this using the administartor account?

Mak has asked about the version of Java you are using.

Can the same report opening from some other machine having different java version?

Yes, I already tried it on 3 machines, including the server.

I have used versions of Java: 1.6.0_14 and 1.6.0_03…

Can you change your preference to Java Report Panel and try opening report…

Also check whether the universe used in report is locked by someone…

I also restarted the server, but without success :hb: :hb:

I discovered that the problem is related to version 12.3.0 build 601, while working with version 12.1.0.882.

The client 12.1.0.882 works fine on the server the same version, but the client 12.3.0 build 601 does not work.

(The error returned is always the same)

Can you help me?
