Hello,
I am trying to save some disk space by purging all WebI reports stored as .WID files in a shared file server.
It did work for most of them, however, for some reports, even when I purged the data (I am WebI Rich Client); the .WID file is still about 16 MB.
Do you have any idea why I am not able to reduce the .WID file size?
Thanks!

Hi
how may queries do you have in your report?
which purge option did you use?
there are 3 purge options
check whether you have purged all the queries.
Thanks

Thank you for your answer!
I’ve found the problem: The ODBC for those particular reports did not exist on the server (those were old reports), so even when I did Purge from WebI Rich Client and the data was removed from the form of the report, it was not completely removed from the .WID file.
I solved it by doing a Refresh; after that Ive got the error Database Error WIS 10901 and then Ive saved the report and the size of the .WID file was reduced from several MB to just some KB.
Thanks again,
Alicia

Hi
Please check these links:
solution for your database error
In my case it was a simple syntax issue relating to SQL Server.

Hi Saranya,
This seems to be database Lock Issue(You might have tried during the Database mirroring process).
Also check your BO connections and ODBC configurations from Universe once again.

“a database error occurred the database error text is ORA-01017;invalid username/password;logon denied(wis 10901)”
as a administrator if i try to run report it executes
he as access to report
he as access to universe and connection
don’t know what the problem is?
can anyone help me in this issue?
thanks in advance

Sounds like you haven’t set up the odbc connection on the Business Objects Server or they are named differently from the way you defined them locally on the universe?

Hi,
It looks to me that the middleware for a connection to your reporting database has not been configured on the BO server. Ask your BOBJ admin.

Is your Terdata server working properly? Also, you should ask the Moderators to move this to the webi form, where more people would see it and hence higher chances that someone may have dealt with the exact same issue.
