why we need to keep some table for LOV creation

suprise to see in one universe some tables are being kept for LOV creation while designing universe though objects created for that universe are not derived from these tables( which are kept for LOV).

Could I know the reason with example

One reason is for efficiency.

In some cases you need the list of values from a table that has multiple aliases. It’s more effective and efficient to create only one LOV and share it.
