Kathy,
Every Universe has a universe id associated with it and this id is having a unique constraint on UNV tables in the repository .
I think deleting it from repository and then export it by the same name should be safe (you should use Tools->Delete Universe only). But keep a back up of old universe so that you can have your documents refreshed
on one universe atleast.
Besides this, make sure that this new Claims univ should have same parameters(including the description, connect string) as that of the old one

Its not really the sbo file - there is a bug (unresolved as of 2.52) that is in play…
The format should ‘get better’ after the first use of the universe (each export)…

bject: Why does the Oracle.sbo file change?
Can anyone explain why the oracle.sbo file changes each time we re-export our universe? For example, each time we export a universe the decimal format changes from the US standard (0,000.00) to the European standard (0.000,00). This is becoming a problem as we roll out Business Objects to more and more users. Mucho Gracias in advance.
