White pages while printing

Hello,

I have noticed that when i do some sectioning (Set as Section option), i am getting white pages in between the report pages when viewing the report in “view page layout” and when printing it as well.

Can someone plz tell me how i can get rid of that.

PS: i have a 20 pages report that i need to print and it’s going to print 40 from which 20 are just white pages.

Open the document in EDIT mode.
Go to properties.
Select the section and in properties > display
do the necessary settings,
then go to page layout >position.
set the parameters as per your requirements.

Have a look at your report in structure mode. You’ll probably find that one of your objects is just a bit wider than your page size (even though the value within that object might fit on the page width). Make it a bit smaller and it should print OK.

that didn’t really help…i tried a maximum avlue for the margins and still that didn’t help

i even took off some of the objects in my report and still i have the same problem…

this is only happening what i have a section in my report.

I had this problem before and I fixed it like Debbie says. The problem was there was a field extending beyond the margin. The field was empty with no headings so I could not see it until my mouse just happened to go over it. Or I could have just looked in the map.

Even if your report is not too wide - it might be too long. Look in design mode and see if there is any white space between the end of your table and the end-section line. Drag this end-section line up to the base of your table.
