Whether target database is required in rapid marts??

Hi all,
Rapid Marts is more of a logical mart from where reports can be generated. Is it required to have a physical database as a target database in rapid marts or the physical database which is used as a target database is only for demo purpose.

What we call a RapidMart is nothing else than us developing DWH project for a specific need and we ship you the code. You will get the create table statements, the ETL code, docs, BO universe, BO sample reports everything you need to start. Obviously you need to run the create table statements against some database, SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 and the ETL code will read your source system and load the tables you created via that script.
