What is this?

My god! i don’t know how i am going to get through.

The problem is - I have generated a report and ran it was retrieving all the records fine. Today i ran the report , but all the datas were purged from the report, only the heading was remaining. The datas were available on the view mode, it didn’t bring back to the report. I went and confirmed query options, the ‘Do Not Retrieve Data’ option was not clicked. Please give me any suggestions or the way to solve this problem. Sometimes it is happening for other reports also. why?
Thank Queue

Ravi.

The most likely cause is that you have a filter(s) defined on the report and the new data does not meet this criteria. Edit your filters and see if you have any global or report filters defined.

One possiblity, have you checked to make sure no filters are applied? This can be

done with the slice and dice feature and make sure that the oil filter icon is not

on any of the objects.

I hope this helps.

Hi -

Has anyone ever seen this and if you have–can you tell me if it’s meaning is significant? In Designer (4.1.8), with my ‘View List Mode’ turned on - under the joins section - I see a couple of my joins have a very dark || right after my first ‘and’ statement. For ex, if my join were to read like this:

table1.cono=table2.cono and|| table1.div=table2.div…etc…

I see the || right after the ‘and’…

I am having problems parsing these joins. (THIS JOIN ALREADY EXISTS’) and noticed that a couple of these have this only in the view list window…any help?

Thanks -

Elaine,

If I have a hard carriage return (press the Enter key) while typing in my join expression, I too can see a bold || character in my list view. Try removing any carriage returns in the expression.

The || are simply carriage returns you have in your joins.

Elaine,

This typically indicates that the join has a carriage return in it. They do not hurt anything - just look wierd. You can remove them if you like but it is not necessary.
