What’s the maximum number of rows we can dump in the excel from WEBi? we are using Business objects 4.2? And also what’s the maximum number of rows webi can display in the report?

Different versions of Excel have different row limits. Prior to O2007 the limit was 65.535. Since then the limit is about one million. If the rows in the report exceed Excel’s row limit, the result will span multiple sheets.
In testing, I found that I was not able to export more than 10,000,000 rows from WebI. I think this is a hard limit, as I have not found a setting for this anywhere.

I’d also consider a different tool if you’re dealing with those sort of volumes. Sounds like more of an ETL task than a reporting one.
