I have installed Web Intelligence 1.0.1 and copied the bomain.key to the wiqt\locdata directory.
When I try to login from another PC, I get the error ‘Cannot access network layer’.
BO is installed and works fine.
Here are some possible reasons this could be happening:
Reason #1:
This may happen because the WebI access driver hadn’t been installed. The install key used didn’t allow to install all the connectivity files required to connect to the database. To check if a webI connectivity has been installed, run the setup (under the WebIntelligence folder) and check if the connectivity is there. Also look under WebIntelligence/wiqt if the connectivity folder is there.
Reason #2:
The middleware is not installed.
Reason #3:
The middleware is not installed locally on the NT server where WebI is installed.

You need to make sure you’ve installed the DB Middleware (e.g., SQL*NET, ODBC) on the server machine and installed the appropriate database drivers during the WebI install.
We got the same message when we forgot to do step #2.
