WEBi XR3 and Tomcat 5.5.27 Deployment Problem

Hi All,

I have an XIR3 environment, and desktopi, designer, qaaws, xcelsius, cmc, cms, infoview works flawless.
My Application server is Tomcat 5.5.27. And my db server is MS SQL 2005. Operating system is Windows XP professional.

For some unknown reason, BOE XIR3 Webi won’t run.

I tried debugging the problem myself:

first checked the files under the tomcat. Surprisingly I didn’t see any Webi folders under the tomcat 5.5/webapps folder, however OpenDocument folders are there.

I did stop the tomcat, cleared everything under the /logs folder.

I did clear application and system events in Event viewer of XP.

I did clear /logging folder under BOE 12.0

reproduced the problem

so far couldn’t resolve the problem…

although desktopi works fine when I run it from under the program folder, shortcut names, it wont work under infoview/document list/new desktop intelligence document and I get the same error as webi : “http status 404”

I really don’t prefer to uninstall everything and install them from scratch at the moment.

I decided to deploy only webi .war files into Tomcat. But i believe by XIR3 things are changed, there is only one .war file in all BOE XiR3 installation suite. After the BOEXIR3 installation under the BOE/java/applications folder there are some .war files. But dont quite sure which one/s would correct the problem either?

What could be your solution to reinstall/deploy webi related files/services into Tomcat application server in R3 context?

attached is the image of BOE R3 servers running at the background & Tomcat webapps folder

thanks

issue was resolved, i removed the tomcat 5.5.27, I removed the BOEXIR3
reinstalled the BOE with tomcat 5.5.20…

it was nice and great till I decided to add CR08 with sp1, its grounded one more time…

so rebuilding it again
