Hello I don’t know if the name of the post match with what I’m going to try to explain, but anyway,
I have a report that the user will run, select some data and we wish to save it in a folder and a category by ‘Customers’, so later we can open the Customer’s folder and see/open the reports we have done.
When I run a report and insert the propmts and select the data, then I click on save select the folder and the customer name category, and when I go to that particular report and I try to open it asks me again for the promts and data, I mean, the report is the same that I upload the parent one instead the one with data selected.
How can I achive that? If I’m not clear please let me know.
Thanks!!!
EDIT:
It was the option ‘Update at Open’ I uncheked it and It did’t ask me again for promts, but now I want the user can not longer edit the report, I mean the user now is able to select other options via input control, the report needs to be without changes because It is how we saved it. Maybe some access rights?
Hi Armando,
I did not understand the EDIT part. Why the user can no longer edit the report ? If he/she wants to enter another date for the prompt, ask him to refresh the document.
I created a report and it has three prompts (equipment, startdate, finishdate), it returns all alarms for that equipment in that particular time line. Now the user can select which alarms include in the report using an input control, so not all of the alarms retrieved are going to be used in the report. Now after they select which alarms to include, they save that report as PDF and sent it to the customer.
What I’m trying to do is, have a repository in InfoView where the user can save those reports that are sent to the customer for further consulting, that why they can edit that particular report anymore because it was the sent one to the customer, you got it now?
I can’t schedule because this type of report is re-active I mean when the user see an alarm that may impact the equipment then, the administrator generate this report to send it to the customer.
