I don’t think you can directly save it as txt file.
save it as excel and open in excel and save as txt file from there.

you can save them manually as csv with webi or infoview html viewer. but you can’t planify this extraction.

thanks for the reply , but i was looking for a way to save a webi report on the repositoryt as text format.
My requirement is that the users want to see a report in text format and they dont want to go thru the extra steps of saving as CSV and then opening as text. moreover that report has to be scheduled to run everyday.
thanks for the response again .

Hi Vamshi,

Thanks for the solution to save a webi report as .txt .But i am having a problem with this method, the column headers are misaligned. Can you suggest a way to get a fix to this.besides i read in other posting that we can save it to .CSV and later save to.TXT format. This process is having issue with the rows that can be handled (max 65536).My report has data of 96000.Any other ideas or suggestions please.

Hi Jaango,

If you want to save a .txt format in the repository you can use Import Wizard and select the source as Text file. however I dont see a posibility of this if the report is scheduled. you will Import the txt file manually.

Tell me if im missing something

Thanks
