WEBI : SSL Technology

Can we specify WEBI to use the SSL encryption technology ? Is there any existing parameter for that ? We are working with a customer that use a Wide Area Network and his provider is a public therefore some informations are transiting through a public network, and may be hacked by some hacker. That explain why we would like to encrypt the data WEBI is sending and receiving.

Thanks

You do not have to do anything on WEBI. You just setup your server (NES or IIS) to use SSL after getting a certificate for your server.

We are bound by our security groups recommendations and we do it for ‘intranet’ (even) for data security.

Caution: There is a known issue when using Netscape browser with SSL & the plug-in. We are working with BO to resolve it.

Good luck.

QUESTION: Has anybody else setup WEBI to use 128-bit SSL (as opposed to 40-bit)?

Can you give the symptoms of the problem you are having when using Netscape/SSL/plug-in? Also, can you give the BO problem case number for this issue?

Thanks in advance,
