Webi Setting that prevents Tivoli timeout

We currently use Tivoli Access Manager to authenticate users for Webi. The company-wide settings for Access manager is to timeout after five minutes of inactivity. This creates a problem when users run reports in Webi that take longer than five minutes. If the user doesn’t ‘interact’ with the browser while the report is running, Tivoli Access Manager will consider the session inactive and it will timeout, which subsequently kicks the user out of Webi and they don’t get their report results. The B.O. vendor told us that we cannot override the Tivoli settings with our Webi settings, and it’s also not an option to change the Tivoli settings at our company. Now, we are trying to think of creative ways to make Webi ‘interact’ with Tivoli Access Manager to make Tivoli think that the session is active and prevent it from timing out. Is there some sort of ‘refresh’ setting or something that we can set in Webi that would trick Tivoli into thinking that the Webi session is active? Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Not sure if this will help, but there should be client settings for Tivoli. You can adjust your “timeout” time there. Help this helps.

Hi I have another problem with TAM.

When opening full-client documents, the URL changes and WebI get’s confused.

The users have to use this URL when accessing WebI : http://server.sebkort.no/cvo/wiasp/
WebI is installed on: http://localhost/wiasp/

This results in WebI answering on: http://server.sebkort.no/wiasp/ without the “cvo” prefix.

Any help would be much appreciated!
