Webi reports returning Errors

Hi ,

We have some WEBI reports that are giving error : Unable to Connect to service WEBIPLUGIN.Webisession from server XXXXXXXXX:6400 Via CMS (fwm 01006) . We use these Webi reports in dashboards Built via QAWS and Dashboard designer.

Is there any setting or change that we need to do to our environment get over this issue.

Earlier version of XiR3 we did not encounter this. Presently we are on BI 4.0 SP5 Patch 4.
Any inputs on this are much appreciated.

I believe I am getting the same error message. There are certain reports that when I attempt to open them in IE (not my choice…) I get the error every time.

These are reports that were created in 3.1 and converted to 4.1. It is only certain reports.

The error message is "Unable to connect to Service WebiPlugin WebSession from Server xxxxxxx via CMS osca:iiop…(FWM 01006) (Error: INF)

Once I get the error my browser session dies and I have to exit the session.

I am using 4.1.6. The error only occurs when I attempt to open it in Webi.

I can open them in rich client. I don’t see anything unusual about them. I have saved them back out and I still get the error.

I don’t have access to the CMS. Any suggestions?

Additional information…

I put the report in my favorites. I opened it with no issues in IE. I saved it to the public folder. Same error as before.

I wanted to share the resolution.

In 3.1 the second option was selected. When they migrated reports to 4.1. the reports were looking for that particular webi process.

We donÂ’t have that process in 4.1 . So they changed it to option 1.
