Just upgraded from 4.0 SP8 to 4.1 SP2. The problem I am facing is when a report was scheduled in Excel format, after successful completion if I click on instance name the report is not opening in excel application. Its giving attached error messages.
After saving it locally, its opening fine. In prior versions directly clicking on the instance link the report used to open in Excel application.
Also tried after upgrading to 4.1 SP3. Same is the issue. Any help in resolving this issue…???
Facing issue only when tried to open the instance directly from History tab. Its prompting the above two messages and the third one is to download a copy. The downloaded copy is working fine as expected. No records were lost even if it says some records were repaired and some were discarded.
Excel version is 2013. Facing the same issue with Excel 2003 as well.
That is strange.
Most of the time I only see these types of issues with xlsx files, not xls.
When you open it, it does not tell you what it repaired?
Usually it is merged cells of some sort that causes the error to be thrown.
Does it happen with multiple reports or just one?
So if you run the same report with the same parameters/data, and export to excel 2007 in view mode it does not happen? It only occurs when scheduling to excel?
You may want to create a support case for it if you cannot see what is being removed from the report.
