WebI Integration with security

Hello Listservers!

Has anyone integrated WebI security with their own security? We have another layer of security here instead of just using Business Objects security. This layer of security is currently client/server and passes the Business Objects user id and password to Business Objects from a command line…among other things. If the security application is redesigned to be web-based, do I need to buy the SDK to pass the Business Objects id and password to Business Objects? Is anyone doing anything similar to this? The SDK package is somewhat cryptic so I’m confused as to what its capabilities are. Any advice would be helpful.

Thanks!

Jodie,

we have developed for one of our clients a component that allows to do just that. For this you do not need the SDK.

From what I know the Extranet edition allows for a security integration with
other applications.

The SDK in nothing but a set of API’s (at this stage not all functions of WebI) that you can call from within your ASP pages. Please note that this only works on NT and not on Unix.

Maarten
