Webi Document in Dashboard Manager

Hello,

In my dashboard i have several webi documents, one for each tab, when we were working in the XI R2 environment we always had the issue with double scroll bars, where the webi had scroll bars however would be sized larger than the browser window, and thus the browser window would have a scroll bars to accommodate the large webi document.

recently we’ve migrated to XI R3 and i’ve notice that one of my dashboard webi documents automatically resizes to match the browser window, however i don’t know how this one document got this setting and how to apply this to the rest of my dashboard.

if anyone knows please let me know

thanks
mike

If you are using templates mode there are some new settings called Scale Width - Scale height (they are essentially fit to width, fit to height). The purpose of those settings is to get rid of horizontal and vertical scrollbars in the dashboard page.

To get rid of scrollbars in the report you have two options:
1- to use report parts (in dashboard Edit mode right click on a report, click to select report part)
2 - Change the report page layout to envelope for example

Hope it helps,
Erica

Hi Erica,

thanks for your help i was able to do ask you outlined, changing it in the dashboard builder to Template and checking the “Scale width” and “Scale height” parameters.

however i came across one report that was in the “Freeform” layout and was maximized to the browser window and would resize accordingly and did not have the double scroll bars. however i don’t know how this report tab works, i tried to replicate this setting on other tabs however i couldn’t get the same results. if you have any ideas please let me know

thanks

How do you set up report parts? Is it just the name of the block/section in WebI?
