WebI Chart Scale Format Problem

Hi, listers;

We created several percentage measures in our universe that are used in WebI, in both reports and charts.

When I used these objects in a report, they displayed as decimal numbers; so I multiplied the measure by 100 in the universe to get the percentage to format as a whole number.

Now when I use these objects in a chart, and format the scale as a percentage, the scale values are multiplied by 100 in WebI; so instead of 20% I see 2000% !

On the other scale, I am using a date-based dimension to get a monthly trend. But the format of the date scale cannot be changed! I change it to Mmmm yyyy, but it displays as the default format.

Is there a solution to these problems? I can leave the percent scale formatted as a whole number and it looks OK; but I shouldn’t have to tell my users “Sorry, you can’t tell what month it is” [the date labels overlap, too, so they are completely unreadable].

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: getting an object to display a percentage correctly within WebIntelligence.

I don’t know whether you’ve already tried this, but you should be able to set the display format to be a percentage, within the Designer module (right mouse on the object, object format, percentage), and have it display correctly in both BusinessObjects and WebIntelligence…

I do have default formats set for most objects in Designer. Unfortunately, the formats were set for best appearance in BusinessObjects, and not all of the format characteristics are supported in WebIntelligence. So I already have to reformat everything in WebI. The major problem now is chart scale formatting.
