Can a Web Intelligence document be converted into a dashboard if the report is just displaying percentages?

Hi,
What your requirement is actually?

Even if you are not displaying the percentages and just the numbers, it can still be converted into a graph to show the percentages.

I am not sure whether it answers your question or not.

One can create a Dashboard (the essential definition of a dashboard by Stephen Few: showing all KPIs to meet a certain objective at a glance) using a variety of tools, I have built a dashboard utilizing Web Intelligence for a large telecommunications provider, or you could use Crystal Reports or as advertised by SAP one can use Xcelsius.

Hi Andreas

Can you pls share your views in which situations need to go for dashboard development using Web Intelligence else dashboard development using Xcelsius.

Dashboard development using Web Intelligence , Is it means using performance management?

Thanks !!!

Basically, I have a report that calculates a return rate. I want to display that in a graph or gauge form vs the goal amount. So, for example, if the return rate goal is 70% and the actual return rate is 60%, I’d like a graph, meter, etc that would display red until it hits 70% or above which it would display green from that point forward.

Bull

I know of no way to get what you want in WebI.

An alerter can be used in a table (that would change colors of font, cell, etc) but not in a chart (as far a I know).

You may need to use Xcelcius (or another tool) as suggested.

Someone did a rather interesting write up on defining HTML tables as charts within Web Intelligence in this article:

Basically, if you really fiddle with how you render HTML along with creative use of alerters / variables then it’s very possibly to achieve the graph effect that you’re after without cracking the binding of your Xcelsius book.

Hope this helps
