-we still get the error message:
“The Login call has brought a non CORBA exception.”.
Most of the installation problems with WebIntelligence 2.0 are caused by not running the so called servconf.exe. This utility allows setting specific memory and account parameters for the ReportServer, the module that is used for viewing and refreshing BO 4.1.x documents in WebIntelligence. The utility can be found in WebIntelligence\System\Bin. In the same folder, you can find a servconf.hlp file, explaining in detail what the utility does and what information you have to provide. An extract of this help file is included in the readme. Make sure you run the tool as a local Administrator - it is not sufficient to have local Administrator rights on an account that belongs to another domain.
Note that the symptoms of not having ran the servconf utility appear most frequently on IIS 4 installations - most of the times not even one user will be able to log in to the system at all. On other web servers, problems will start occuring after the system has been running for a while or when multiple users are viewing or refreshing BO documents at the same time.
We have noticed that it is not clear enough that running the servconf.exe is a mandatory action to complete the installation. The new version of WebIntelligence will have an installer that includes setting the parameters, similar to the way the 2.0 installer requires specifiying the OSAgent port.
