We are converting from XIR2 to XIR3.1 SP5. Is the BCA still needed or has it been replaced by another element of the product?

Hi,

There is no BCA in the BO XI R2 nor in the BO XI 3.x worlds.

The BroadCast Agent (BCA) was abailable up to the version BO 6.5.

The only other unknown is the BOProbe user. Can you tell me what this is?

I found its purpose. We have some monitoring software running and BO is on the list of application to be monitored. BOProbe is the account used to verify that BO is up.
